Job summary

Clearway Energy is seeking an External Affairs Manager to build and sustain relationships with California communities, government officials, and other stakeholders. You will support our government affairs work with outreach, messaging, and event activities across the Western states.

You should bring 4+ years in government affairs, strong CA connections, and excellent communication skills. This role requires travel and a hybrid work model; salary range reflects market in the U.S. West.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in government affairs or related field.
• Strong connections and understanding of state/local politics in California.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the region.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for Clearway in diverse communities across California.
• Participate in outreach and advocacy with the State Legislature, Governor’s Office, and state agencies.
• Cultivate community partnerships with site teams and project developers.
• Organize events to build goodwill and share information with the community.
