Qualifications

• Specialized experience in public affairs/communications related to the agency's work
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level
• Residency preference requires seven years of residency in the District of Columbia

Responsibilities

• Assists in the development of communication plans including topics to emphasize and effective media to utilize, and provides input on possible public and media reactions to agency actions and public information needs.
• Identifies, summarizes, and analyzes public comments submitted to the office; advises and assists the team lead with tracking and addressing concerns and issues raised.
