The Public Access Technician position within the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Public Access Services Office offers an opportunity to work outdoors, maintain and improve access to FWC-managed lands, and participate in outreach with local recreationists. This full-time OPS role is located in Moore Haven, FL, with a starting pay rate of $16.83 per hour and health benefits.

Housing support is available at the onsite trailer pad with RV hookups at the Fisheating Creek Outpost

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1 year of post-high school experience in wildlife, fisheries, environmental, ecological or related agriculture or construction.
• Vocational training or an associate’s degree in wildlife, fisheries, environmental, ecological or related agriculture or construction may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and repair public access infrastructure (signs, trails, kiosks, boardwalks, picnic areas, observation platforms).
• Clear and maintain recreational trails and trailheads.
• Propose new public access opportunities for potential implementation.
