Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in daily operations and patient care at our Gonzales, LA location. You will use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions, assist customers, and maintain accuracy and efficiency under supervision.

Preferred candidates will have PTCB certification and retail experience; strong math skills and computer proficiency are a plus. Training and career development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math and computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under supervision with pharmacy duties.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and enter patient and drug information.
• Provide excellent customer service and help customers locate products and answer questions.
• Maintain inventory and assist with clerical duties in the Pharmacy Department.
