Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists and staff in a fast-paced retail pharmacy. You will assist with processing prescriptions, entering patient data, and ensuring accurate dispensing while delivering a courteous customer experience.

You will work under pharmacist supervision, maintain inventory, handle cash, and coordinate with providers as needed. Flexibility for evenings/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in pharmacy practice and data entry into pharmacy systems.
• Process prescriptions by entering patient and drug information and verifying accuracy.
• Deliver a positive customer experience and greet customers.
• Support pharmacy management with inventory, cash handling and clerical duties.
• Handle calls and coordination with physicians as needed.
