Job summary

Walgreens Co. in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant who assists the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and supports daily operations in the Pharmacy Department.

You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and coach technicians in system use and cash register operation where certified. A strong focus on customer service and accurate dispensing is required.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification required or pursued as condition of promotion.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Prior retail environment experience preferred.
• Solid math skills for counting and dispensing.
• Comfort with pharmacy computer systems and cash registers.
