Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment (preferred).
• Prior work experience with Walgreens (preferred).
• Good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications (preferred).
• Good computer skills (preferred).
• Knowledge of store inventory control (preferred).
• PTCB certification (preferred).
• Earns and maintains PTCB certification through designated program (training).

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in dispensing and other Pharmacy Department duties.
• Enter patient and drug information using pharmacy systems; process prescriptions.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications; verify accuracy and check for interactions.
• Assist with inventory management and store operations; support cash handling and point-of-sale tasks.
• Develop relationships with customers and healthcare providers; contribute to a positive customer experience.
