Job summary

Mountainside Nursing Home in Mountainside, New Jersey is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support residents’ rehabilitation and daily living activities. You will work closely with the Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans and monitor progress.

The role requires completion of an accredited PTA program and NJ licensure. You’ll need strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to assist with lifting and transfers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited PTA program
• Current NJ PTA certification
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, transfer, and support patients as needed
• Familiarity with electronic medical records is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient evaluations and develop treatment plans with the Physical Therapist
• Provide treatment interventions such as exercises and modalities
• Monitor patient progress and report to the Physical Therapist
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation
• Maintain accurate patient treatment records
• Participate in staff meetings and training
• Demonstrate commitment to patient-centered care and safety
