Elite Medical Staffing is hiring Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) for skilled nursing opportunities in Kennewick, WA. This contract role offers competitive pay, consistent scheduling, and the opportunity to work a dedicated assignment with one of our healthcare partners.

We are seeking dependable, experienced therapists who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and can quickly and confidently adapt to new facility environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active PTA license.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in skilled nursing.
• Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities.
• Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Utilize EMR to record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility interventions.
• Monitor resident responses to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Reinforce prescribed therapy programs and resident safety practices.
• Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic activities and mobility techniques as directed.
• Accurately document treatment sessions and resident responses.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards.
• Communicate concerns or issues to onsite supervisor and agency.
• Other duties as assigned.
