Responsibilities
- Record patients’ medical information and vital signs in EMR.
- Provide PT treatments under supervision of a licensed PT.
- Implement treatment plans established by supervising PT.
- Assist residents with exercises, gait training, balance, and mobility.
- Monitor responses to treatment and report progress to supervising therapist.
- Reinforce prescribed therapy programs and safety practices.
- Educate residents and caregivers on mobility techniques.
- Document treatment sessions and resident responses.

A PTA working contract through Elite Medical Staffing at a skilled nursing facility may be expected to:
- Utilize EMR to record patients’ medical information and vital signs
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility interventions
- Monitor resident responses to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising therapist
- Reinforce prescribed therapy programs and resident safety practices
- Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic activities and mobility techniques as directed
- Accurately document treatment sessions and resident responses
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards
- Communicate concerns or issues to onsite supervisor and agency
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active PTA license
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in skilled nursing
- Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities
- Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
- Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds
- Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- Active and unencumbered OR PTA License or Compact PTA License
- Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport
