Job summary

Alton Memorial Hospital is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Rehabilitation Services team in Alton, Illinois. You will work with a multidisciplinary group in both inpatient and outpatient settings, managing a diverse caseload including orthopedic, neurological, and general medicine patients.

New graduates are welcome, and a CEU budget is provided to support ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Licensed PTA required.
• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plan as developed by the licensed physical therapist.
• Collaborates with the licensed physical therapist to assess and reassess the patient’s plan of care and interventions.
• Documents patient progress in daily/weekly notes and contributes to discharge notes.
• Provides guidance for clinical fieldwork students under supervision.
• Reports on interventions and patient progress during meetings and contributes to the screening and evaluation process.
