Job summary

Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, Illinois, is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Rehabilitation Services team. You will work in both inpatient and outpatient settings with a diverse caseload, including orthopedic, neurological, and general medicine patients.

You will collaborate with licensed therapists, implement treatment plans, document patient progress, and participate in student supervision.

Qualifications

• Licensed PTA required.
• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Illinois PTA licensure or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plan as developed by the licensed physical therapist.
• Collaborates with the licensed physical therapist on an agreed upon frequency to assess and reassess patient’s plan of care, treatment goals and interventions.
• Documents patient progress in daily notes and weekly notes, and contributes to discharge notes.
• Assists with guidance for clinical fieldwork students under supervision of the physical therapist.
• Reports on interventions and patient progress during assigned meetings and contributes to the screening and evaluation process.
