Lamar State College-Orange is seeking a full-time faculty member to lead the Physical Therapist Assistant program as Faculty/Coordinator of Clinical Education, combining teaching, program development, and clinical coordination.

The role requires a master’s degree in teaching or related field, relevant PTA experience, and a commitment to CAPTE accreditation standards, student success, and service to the college.

Qualifications

• Hold a master’s degree or higher in the teaching discipline.
• OR: Hold a master’s degree in any discipline with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
• OR: Hold a bachelor’s degree in the teaching discipline.
• OR: Hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, with 12 undergraduate hours in the teaching discipline or related field.
• OR: Hold an associate’s degree in the teaching discipline PLUS have 3 years of relevant full‑time work experience.
• EXPERIENCE: For technical programs, pertinent job experience outlined in the minimum faculty credential standards is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person, online, hybrid, or Hyflex formats as needed.
• Coordinate and supervise student activities within the program.
• Develop and implement new courses and programs with outcomes assessment.
• Assess student learning outcomes and report artifacts.
• Participate in curriculum development and program evaluation.
• Maintain CAPTE accreditation standards knowledge.
