Job summary

South College Asheville learning site located in Asheville, NC, is seeking an Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education (ACCE) for the PTA program. This is a full-time, on-ground campus-based role with 32 hours on campus and 8 remote hours per week.

Responsibilities include coordinating clinical education, collaborating with clinical faculty, and maintaining standards across teaching and clinical settings. The ACCE will mentor students and support recruitment and committee work.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited PTA or PT program.
• Bachelor's degree in related field required; Master's degree preferred.

• Collaborate with clinical educational faculty to address learning needs of students.
• Partner with clinical education sites to ensure high-quality educational experiences for all students.

• Meet South College standards for course syllabi creation and submission, classroom management, use of technology, grade submission, and records management.
• Function as a part of South College and South College PTA faculty group. Participate in meetings, projects, recruiting, and committee work.
• Support student success through mentoring, tutoring, and advising.

• A minimum of three years of full-time clinical experience
• Two years of experience as a clinical instructor or experience in teaching, curriculum development, and administration required
