Job summary

INEOS Aromatics in Wando, South Carolina, is hiring a Process Technician to monitor, regulate and operate PTA production on a 12-hour rotating shift. You will ensure safe, environmentally sound, and efficient operation of the process with 24/7 coverage.

Responsibilities include starting up and shutting down the unit, optimizing operations, troubleshooting, monitoring DCS alarms, coordinating with maintenance, and maintaining thorough records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years industrial/manufacturing experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow detailed operating procedures.
• Willingness to relocate or commute to Ineos Cooper River Plant.

Responsibilities

• Start up, operate and shut down the process unit per procedures.
• Adjust equipment/process for safe, optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot abnormal process situations.
• Monitor DCS and respond to alarms.
• Work with maintenance to repair equipment and instrumentation.
• Collect samples with proper PPE and sampling methods.
• Perform energy isolations safely for equipment and piping.
• Perform minor maintenance.
• Communicate with team and external partners.
• Demonstrate and transfer work knowledge to others.
• Maintain accurate records.
