Job summary

Ayer Valley Rehab & Nursing in Ayer, MA is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. You will provide therapy under supervision of a licensed PT and help residents improve strength, mobility and independence.

This flexible position offers PRN scheduling, collaboration with PT, OT, SLP, and nursing staff, and opportunities to work with both short-term and long-term residents while contributing to high‑quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant license required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Skilled nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and mobility programs.
• Carry out individualized treatment plans designed to improve strength, safety, and functional independence.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising PT.
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
