Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus South (South High Street) in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our inpatient post-ICU care team.

You will assist with delivering physical therapy services, implement treatment plans, and help patients improve strengthening, balance, mobility, and functional skills under the direction of the PT. We offer comprehensive orientation, tuition reimbursement and CE opportunities, plus PTO and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Valid state PTA license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT).
• Assist the PT in carrying out therapeutic interventions designed to meet long-term patient goals, including strengthening, balance and endurance.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics or assistive devices.
