Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus - Vic Village is a critical illness recovery hospital seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support inpatient post-ICU rehabilitation. This PRN position includes occasional weekday shifts in Columbus, OH, with compensation of $32 per hour.

You will assist the PT in delivering therapy, conducting therapeutic activities, and helping patients regain mobility and function, under PT supervision.

Qualifications

• Valid state PTA license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist PT with delivery of physical therapy services including therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT).
• Assist the PT in carrying out therapeutic interventions to meet long-term patient goals (strength, balance, endurance).
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics or assistive devices.
