Description
Treat patients as directed by the Physical Therapist. Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per PT Board regulations. Assist in maintaining the department and participate in patient care and rehabilitation conferences as needed. Aid in cleaning and maintaining the treatment area. Follow physician treatment plans when treating patients. Support nursing staff with training of Restorative Aides. Communicate patient progress, problems, and plans with supervisors and the healthcare team. Participate in staff training programs. Document treatment changes according to policies and procedures. Educate patients' families or nursing staff on maintenance and caregiver training in preparation for discharge. Report equipment issues to ensure proper maintenance. Demonstrate positive, effective, and appropriate interactions with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.

Qualifications
Physical Demands
Frequent standing/walking, occasional sitting, frequent reaching, pushing, pulling, talking, and hearing. Frequent tasting/smelling. Ability to exert significant force and perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and crouching. Good visual perception, including focus adjustment.
Work Environment
Typically low to moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities. Management may reassign duties as needed.
