Job summary

Adoration Health, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in Wheeling, WV. You will provide 1:1 patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and help deliver high-quality home health services to our patients.

This full-time role offers independent work with team support, opportunities for advancement, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Licensed PTA in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification as required by state regulations.
• At least 1 year of PTA experience preferred.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for neurological injury.

Responsibilities

• Provides PT services planned, delegated and supervised by a Physical Therapist in accordance with the patient’s treatment plan.
• Regularly communicates with the PT regarding progress, questions and concerns.
• Assists in obtaining adaptive equipment to improve function and supports the rehab program.
• Maintains and submits patient treatment and billing documentation in required formats and timelines.

Education

Current unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist Assistant by state in which practicing

Responsibilities

As a Home Health PTA, You will:

• Provides physical therapy services planned, delegated and supervised by the qualified Physical Therapist in accordance with the patient’s Plan of Treatment
• Confers with Physical Therapist regularly regarding patient’s plan of treatment, status of progress toward goals, questions and concerns
• Communicates patient’s needs and progress to the Physical Therapist of record and assists in securing special adaptive equipment for patient to improve function.Incorporates the use of adaptive equipment to enhance the rehabilitation program
• Maintains and submits patient treatment and billing documentation in the format and timelines required by the Company, facility, funding source, local, state and federal regulations

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist Assistant by state in which practicing
• Current Basic Life Support or cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification, in accordance state regulations
• A minimum of one year’s work experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred
• Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury
