Goldsboro Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Goldsboro, NC is now hiring a PTA to provide comprehensive physical therapy services under PT supervision and within state guidelines.

The successful candidate will participate in patient care, documentation, and collaboration with the rehab team, ensuring timely progress notes, referrals, and billing accuracy while maintaining professional standards and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduate with an accredited PTA program (AS/BA) in Physical Therapy.
• Current state license/registration in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy under PT supervision following state guidelines.
• Identify appropriate patients and refer to rehab as needed.
• Document daily participation and progress; obtain PT cosignature.
• Ensure MD orders for treatments, recertifications, and discharges.
• Assist with documentation per state guidelines.
• Attend rehab meetings as directed by the supervisor.
• Serve as rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist in scheduling patients for therapy sessions.
• Complete billing and bill for PT services accurately.
• Cover other therapists’ caseload during absences.
• Supervise junior PTA staff or students as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and patients.
• Provide in-service education to rehab staff and community as needed.
• Comply with facility safety policies and patient confidentiality.
• Be punctual and project a professional image; adhere to hours.
• Meet productivity requirements.
• Foster positive relations with customers and coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or regional manager.
• Follow facility policies on lunch, sick leave, and time off.
• Adhere to other facility policies.

Qualifications:

• 1.Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Physical Therapy that is recognized by the APTA.
• 2.Holds current license and/or registration in the state

Job Responsibilities:

• 1.Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT according to state practice guidelines.
• 2.Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• 3.Document patient’s daily participation and progress on progress note in an accurate and timely fashion, and obtain the co-signature of the PT.
• 4.Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• 5.Assist with other documentation requirements as indicated and according to state guidelines.
• 6.Attend facility and rehab meetings when indicated by Supervisor.
• 7.Act as a rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.

• 9.Complete billing and bill patients ethically and accurately for physical therapy services rendered.
• 10.Cover other therapists’ patient caseload during absence as necessary.
• 11.Supervise junior PTA staff members or students as needed.
• 12.Maintain professional relationship with co-workers, facility staff, patients and patient families.
• 13.Provide in-service education regarding patient care or physical therapy services to rehab staff, facility staff, hospitals and/or community as needed.
• 14.Comply with all facility safety policies and procedures.
• 15.Comply with patient confidentiality and Federal Resident Rights.
• 16.Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and project a professional image at all times.
• 17.Adhere to productivity requirements.
• 18.Maintain a positive work atmosphere by demonstrating and communicating in a professional manner so as to foster positive relations with customers, clients, co-workers and managers.
• 19.Perform all other duties assigned by the department Supervisor, Lead Therapist or Regional Manager.
• 20.Comply with all Facility policies re: lunch, sick and time off notification.
• 21.Adhere to any and all other Facility written and oral policies and procedures.
