ARMStaffing is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant for a 13-week contract in Burke, VA. The role supports therapists with treatment plans and patient progress in a collaborative outpatient setting.

The candidate will assist in interventions, train patients on devices, document outcomes, and coordinate across healthcare teams to maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• CAPTE certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years outpatient clinical experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will embody the core values of our organization, ensuring superior quality care while maintaining a safe, teamwork-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in therapeutic interventions aimed at achieving patients' long-term goals, including posture training, strengthening exercises, and community re-entry training.
• Train patients on the use of assistive devices and demonstrate proper safety techniques.
• Monitor patient responses and intervene as necessary, documenting progress and educating patients and families.
• Consult with other healthcare disciplines regarding therapy provided and projected treatment goals.
• Participate in team conferences and special projects designed to enhance patient care quality and efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and personal appearance guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School.
• CAPTE Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
• CPR Certification.
