Job summary
The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Mohawk Valley is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) per diem to support its rehabilitation program on site. You will assist in resident mobility, provide treatments, and help therapists develop plans in a compassionate, team-focused environment.
Requirements include graduation from an accredited PTA program and a current New York State PTA license; experience is a plus. Competitive benefits are offered with a supportive work culture.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
- Current New York State PTA License.
- Experience is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Measure and record residents' motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
- Assist physical therapists in developing treatment plans.
- Observe residents and write progress reports on their condition.
- Evaluate residents' ability to function independently.
- Assist residents in performing specific exercises.
- Provide treatments to residents using techniques such as stretching and massage.
- Help residents use equipment and devices.
- Educate residents on proper exercise techniques to strengthen muscles and improve mobility.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and ensure a safe, clean working environment.
- Comply with regulations and contribute to team-based care.
