Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for outpatient services. Under direct supervision of a licensed PT, you will assist with implementing the therapy plan of care and coordinate with the supervising therapist to ensure timely assessments and modifications.

Qualifications

• Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Graduation from an approved PTA program and CAPTE national examination.
• Certified BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the therapist with data collection and status updates as directed.
• Implement the therapy plan of care and perform delegated procedures.
• Progress treatment techniques as patient status changes.
• Identify changes in patient status and report to supervising therapist.
• Coordinate treatment with other services; attend clinical meetings when needed.
• Provide patient education and develop home programs for discharge.
• Prepare for discharge including equipment needs and referrals.
• Assist with functional training classes under supervision.
• Assign routine tasks to aides and staff as directed.
• Manage caseload and ensure coverage when needed.
