Job summary

Methodist Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient therapy team in Madison, MS. You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to provide hands‑on treatment that improves mobility, strength, function and independence. Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Current Mississippi PTA license or eligibility.
• Ability to work under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement PT treatment programs under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Provide therapeutic interventions based on patient care plan.
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, function and independence.
• Adapt treatment approaches to patient needs in consultation with PT.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and progress.
• Communicate progress and needs with the supervising PT and team.
• Participate in team meetings and share patient information as needed.
• Identify challenges and work with PT on solutions.
• Maintain professional relationships with patients and staff.
• Support department activities and other duties as assigned.
• May supervise PTA students.
