Methodist Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient therapy team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide hands-on treatment and help patients improve their mobility, strength, function, and independence.

Qualifications

• Mississippi PTA license or eligibility for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Implement physical therapy treatment programs under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Provide appropriate therapeutic interventions and treatment techniques based on the patient's plan of care.
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, function and independence.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress, and units.
• Communicate with the supervising PT and healthcare team regarding patient progress.
• Participate in team meetings and identify treatment challenges with the supervising PT.
• May provide supervision to PTA students.
