Job summary

PRN is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for outpatient orthopedics in the San Diego area, including Carlsbad. New grads welcome; licensure required or eligibility.

The role focuses on implementing exercises, assisting with treatments, and supporting patient recovery in a collaborative clinic setting. Base pay ranges from $30 to $42 per hour with monthly incentives up to $2,500 and student loan repayment up to $25,000.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• State licensure or certification as a PTA.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and professionals.
• Proficiency in assisting with therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Detail-oriented with solid documentation and reporting.
• Prior PTA experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by the PT.
• Communicate with PTs regularly about patient progress.
• Guide and instruct patients in therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Monitor and record patient progress and responses to treatments.
• Ensure caseload attendance and patient compliance.
• Assist with administering therapeutic interventions and setting up equipment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and timely documentation.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and home care routines.
• Collaborate with PTs and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
