Job summary

PRN - Physical Therapy Clinics in Encinitas, CA is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for our outpatient orthopedics team. New graduates are encouraged to apply; you must hold a PTA license or be eligible for licensure to be considered.

In this role you will work closely with licensed PTs to implement therapeutic exercises, assist treatments, and support patient rehabilitation plans. You will participate in care planning, document progress, and educate patients and families on

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in assisting with therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain detailed documentation.
• Prior PTA clinical experience preferred; EMR familiarity advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans created by PTs.
• Communicate regularly with PTs about patient progress.
• Instruct and guide patients in therapeutic exercises.
• Monitor and record patient progress and responses to treatments.
• Document treatment plans and progress in EMR accurately.
• Educate patients and families on home care and procedures.
• Collaborate with PTs and healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
