Elite Nursing and Rehabilitation in Homewood, AL is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will assist in delivering high-quality therapy services to residents in our skilled nursing and rehab facility in Homewood, Alabama.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Alabama PTA license.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing/rehabilitation settings preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait, transfer and balance training, and mobility interventions.
• Assist residents in achieving rehabilitation goals and maximizing independence.
• Monitor patient responses and report progress or changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Document treatment sessions and outcomes in accordance with guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for coordinated resident-centered care.
• Educate residents, families and caregivers on exercises and safety techniques.
• Maintain a safe environment while delivering high-quality care.
• Comply with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
