Total Care Therapy is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing team in Fairfield, OH. You will work with a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in assisted living and independent living communities.

Qualifications

• Current State PTA license required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Experience in geriatrics, home health, assisted living, or skilled nursing is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and according to the established plan of care.
• Deliver therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, transfer training, and mobility interventions to help residents achieve functional goals.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Accurately complete documentation and treatment notes using an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Educate residents and caregivers on home exercise programs, fall prevention, and safety strategies.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Maintain a full-caseload while providing compassionate, high-quality therapy services.
