Job summary

Paulding Care Center Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a long-term care setting.

The PTA will work closely with Physical Therapists and other PTAs to provide rehabilitative care, including patient education, exercise facilitation, and mobility assistance. A Georgia PTA license and at least 1 year of PTA experience in long-term care are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Georgia PTA License.

Responsibilities

• Counsel residents and their families on post-treatment steps.
• Observe residents during therapy and report notes to the Physical Therapist.
• Assign specific exercises and assist residents in performing them.
• Use devices and equipment to help residents regain movement and reduce pain.
• Apply stretching, massage and other techniques to treat residents.
• Assist residents when moving to and from the therapy area.
