Job summary

Paulding Care Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate nursing team. Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will deliver patient-centered care and help restore function for a diverse caseload.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate degree in Physical Therapy (APTA-recognized), Georgia state license, and CPR certification, with a commitment to safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate with Associate degree in Physical Therapy that is recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state of Georgia
• Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT according to state practice guidelines.
• Assists Physical Therapists in directing patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce and enhance performance.
• Facilitate the learning of those skills and functions essential for adaptation and productivity.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Assist with other documentation requirements as indicated and according to state guidelines.
