AVIR at French Home in San Antonio, TX seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house subacute rehabilitation team. Full-time and per diem positions available.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, assisting with therapeutic exercises, transfers, gait training, and documenting progress under the supervision of a licensed PT. This role emphasizes collaboration with the rehab and nursing teams and adherence to regulatory standards.

Formación

• Current Texas PTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Experience in skilled nursing or subacute rehab is preferred.
• New graduates with licensure are encouraged to apply.

Responsabilidades

• Provide skilled physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans to improve strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and independence.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility, transfers, and gait training.
• Monitor patient responses and communicate progress to the supervising PT.
• Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safety techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary rehab and nursing teams.
• Maintain compliance with professional and facility standards.
