AVIR at Brownwood is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house subacute rehabilitation team. We are hiring for Full-Time and Per Diem opportunities, with supervision by a licensed Physical Therapist and a focus on resident-centered care.

Qualified candidates hold a Texas PTA license, have graduated from an accredited PTA program, and bring strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Texas PTA license.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehab, or long-term care preferred.
• Compassionate and resident-focused approach to care.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality physical therapy interventions under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on residents’ needs and goals.
• Assist residents with improving strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and functional independence.
• Document treatments and resident progress accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, and quality of care.
