Job summary

AVIR at Brownwood is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house subacute rehabilitation team. This position offers Full-Time and Per Diem opportunities and requires current Texas PTA licensure.

You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to implement personalized treatment plans, help residents improve strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Texas.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care is preferred.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality physical therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on residents’ needs and goals.
• Assist residents with improving strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and functional independence.
• Document treatments and resident progress accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, and quality of care.
