Job summary

Rossmoor Post Acute in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed PT to help residents improve mobility, balance, and independence.

We offer competitive pay of $48-$53 per hour, flexible scheduling (full-time, part-time, and PRN), and a full benefits package for eligible employees as you develop your clinical skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Current California PTA license in good standing.
• Strong communication and collaborative teamwork.
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments according to the supervising Physical Therapist's plan of care.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, balance, endurance, and mobility.
• Monitor resident responses and communicate progress to the supervising PT.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a safe treatment environment.
• Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, residents, families, and team members.
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and fall-prevention strategies.
• Follow state practice requirements and infection control protocols.
• Participate in team meetings and quality care initiatives.
