Job summary

Pleasant Valley Healthcare in Garland, TX is seeking dedicated Physical Therapist Assistants to join our in-house therapy team. We offer full-time and PRN schedules in a skilled nursing facility providing long-term care, post-acute rehab, and geriatric outpatient therapy.

You will screen and evaluate patients, develop care plans, and deliver medically necessary rehabilitation in a team-focused environment. PTA license required; new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• PTA license is required.
• Open to PTAs at all experience levels; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wounds; develop care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions.
• Support patient mobility and safety; assist with ambulation, transfers, and wound care.
• Administer procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan (manual techniques, modalities, exercises).
• Provide counseling to patients, families, and caregivers on physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries compliant with regulatory and clinical requirements.
