Qualifications

• Required Associate’s Degree accredited physical therapy assistant program.
• 1 year Physical Therapy Experience Preferred.
• Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - State Licensing Board.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive physical therapy treatment and related follow-up services including discharge planning.
• Trains and educates patients, family members and/or others to ensure understanding of treatment plan and goals.
• Provides physical therapy, including selection and use of assistive equipment. Reports patient progress and collaborates with evaluating therapist to implement the therapy plan of care.
• Documents and submits patient reports and charges within the established timeframe.
• Collaborates with patient and other healthcare personnel or outside agencies regarding coordination of care.
• Supervises Rehab Techs.

Education

Associate’s Degree accredited PTA program

1 year Physical Therapy Experience Preferred
