Job summary

The Hughston Clinic is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support direct patient care under the supervision of licensed PT staff. You will implement treatment programs, document patient progress, and assist with wound care and safety protocols.

Qualifications include an Associate degree in Physical Therapy, PTA license, and BLS certification; a valid driver’s license and ability to work at multiple locations may be required. Prior PT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy completed.
• Maintain PTA license and BLS certification.
• Valid Driver’s License with satisfactory MVR and proof of insurance.
• Annual MVR may be required per policy.
• May require working at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of PT staff.
• Adhere to plan of care established by PT for each patient.
• Operate therapeutic equipment as necessary.
• Document care and patient information for medical records.
• Bill patients according to proper procedures.
• Educate patients, families, and therapy staff.
• Stay up to date on patient care protocols.
