Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have Associate’s Degree in PTA and active PTA license.
• BLS certification within 30 days required.
• Board eligibility or certification pursued with ongoing stroke-care CE.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare teams.
• Adjusts plan of care based on patient response and documents with evaluating therapist.
• Provides interventions: exercises, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, aquatic therapy.
• Completes daily documentation and billing in the EMR.
• Communicates patient progress and treatment recommendations with referring providers.
• Maintains compliance with documentation policies and ongoing education requirements.
