Job summary

LifeSpan Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) PRN at Altenheim in Indianapolis to support licensed therapists delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to residents recovering from injuries or managing chronic conditions.

You will guide residents through therapeutic exercises, monitor progress, document responses, and help adjust care plans under supervision. The role emphasizes compassionate patient interaction, attention to safety, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
• Basic proficiency in computer use for documentation and communication purposes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with residents and healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Assist with evaluation by performing objective tests under supervision of the PT.
• Assist with ordering and maintaining supplies as needed.
• Document resident progress and any changes in condition.
• Communicate resident status to residents, caregivers, and professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of progress and treatment sessions.
