Job summary

Loudoun Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Leesburg, VA, seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate rehab team. Flexible shifts and options for full-time or part-time work are available, with a competitive benefits package.

Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will deliver skilled therapy to residents to improve mobility, safety, and quality of life, document sessions, educate residents and families, and participate in care planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Virginia PTA license and registration in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing, geriatric rehabilitation preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans focused on strength, balance, mobility, and functional independence.
• Ensure resident safety, comfort, and engagement during therapy sessions.
• Document treatment sessions accurately and timely according to facility and regulatory standards.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on exercises, transfers, mobility techniques, and safe use of adaptive equipment.
• Assist residents in achieving functional goals and maximizing independence.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration, care planning, and discharge planning.
• Maintain a positive, resident-centered approach to rehabilitation.
