Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Virginia PTA license and registration.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or geriatric rehabilitation preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving strength, balance, mobility, and functional independence.
• Ensure resident safety, comfort, and engagement during therapy sessions.
• Document treatment sessions accurately and timely according to facility and regulatory standards.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on exercises, transfers, mobility techniques, and safe use of adaptive equipment.
• Assist residents in achieving functional goals and maximizing independence.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration, care planning, and discharge planning.
• Maintain a positive, resident-centered approach to rehabilitation.

Your Role as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Loudoun Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, you will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide skilled therapy services that improve residents’ mobility, function, safety, and quality of life.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

• Implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving strength, balance, mobility, and functional independence.
