Job summary

King Manor Care and Rehabilitation Center in Neptune City, NJ seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support residents under a licensed PT.

You will implement individualized treatment plans, assist with tests, lead therapy sessions, and educate residents and families. This role offers full-time, part-time, or per diem options with benefits including insurance, 401K, paid time off, and more.

• Good organizational skills and time management.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident’s individualized treatment plan as defined by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Provides individualized physical therapy treatments including modalities and exercises.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist when the Physical Therapist is performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in consultation with the physical therapist.
• Instructs residents, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Works with other members of the rehabilitation team to develop programs and activities consistent with the needs and capabilities of each resident.
• Maintains appropriate and timely resident and non-resident documentation for all residents treated.
• Attends and contributes to resident care, staffing and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports the need for repair of equipment, as necessary.
• Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.
