Zusammenfassung

Nassawadox Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide skilled treatment and help residents achieve their rehabilitation goals.

You will implement individualized treatment plans, help residents improve mobility and independence, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care in a supportive environment.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program recognized by the relevant accrediting body.
• Current and valid PTA license or eligibility as required by the state of practice.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Implement each resident’s individualized treatment plan as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Provide physical therapy treatments to improve mobility, strength, balance, function and independence.
• Work collaboratively with rehabilitation and interdisciplinary teams to meet residents’ needs.
• Assist the Physical Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex procedures as directed.
• Monitor and communicate residents’ responses to treatment and progress to the supervising PT.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers in PT techniques under supervision.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, participation and independence throughout treatment.
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and timely.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation or supervising PT.
