Job summary

Hertford Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Edenton, NC, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our long-term care team. You will work under the supervision of a PT to provide treatment, assist with evaluations, document progress, and contribute to patient care plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy recognized by APTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in North Carolina (NC).

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment to patients under PT supervision.
• Assist with patient evaluations and assessments.
• Document patient progress and participation.
• Obtain MD orders and ensure accurate billing.
• Participate in facility and rehab meetings.
• Supervise junior PTA staff or students.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients, and families.
