Job summary

Hertford Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Edenton, North Carolina, seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate team under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will deliver comprehensive treatment to residents and help drive their functional progress in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state.

Responsibilities

• Providing treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT
• Assisting with patient evaluations and assessments
• Documenting patient progress and participation
• Obtaining MD orders and ensuring accurate billing
• Participating in facility and rehab meetings
• Supervising junior PTA staff members or students
• Maintaining professional relationships with co-workers, patients, and families

Education

BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy recognized by APTA
