Job summary

Focus Health Group is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide targeted therapy under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The role focuses on helping patients increase independence and functional abilities within a supportive rehab team.

The PTA will implement treatment plans, assist with tests and evaluations, and educate patients and families on therapy techniques to promote optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program (APTA)
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Implements patient’s individualized treatment plan as established by the supervising PT
• Collaborates with the rehab team to implement programs aligned with patient needs
• Acts as assistant to PT during tests, evaluations and complex procedures
• Instructs patients, families and caregivers in PT techniques under PT supervision
