Job summary

Ultimate Therapy Services is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the Autumn Lake at Patuxent River rehabilitation team in Laurel, MD. In a skilled nursing and post-acute setting, you will assist licensed therapists to help residents improve mobility, independence, and overall function.

In this full-time role, you will carry out treatment plans, monitor progress, educate residents and caregivers on exercises and fall prevention, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Active Maryland PTA license required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out individualized treatment plans established by a licensed Physical Therapist
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve strength, balance, gait, endurance, and mobility
• Track resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Educate residents and caregivers on safe mobility techniques, home exercises, and fall prevention
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation that meets facility and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team
