Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited two-year PTA program and licensed.
• Travel within a local area as needed for patient treatment.
• Ability to work indoors with exposure to some disagreeable conditions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, therapy staff and facility personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering physical therapy programs under supervision.
• Instruct, motivate and assist patients to learn and improve skills.
• Observe treatments and document responses and progress; report to rehab director.
• Assist in evaluating daily living skills and capacities.
• Document patient progress toward established goals.
• Maintain billing records and ensure proper equipment use.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures; maintain patient safety.
